The Breitling for Bentley A28362, from the Flying B collection, was born of the collaboration between Breitling and the car maker Bentley, and takes its inspiration from the style of its cars. It is one of the least conventional models in Breitling’s production, for the shape of its case and for the way it tells the time.
The model
The hour is shown not by a hand but by a jumping numeral that appears in an aperture; the minutes run on a rotating indication and the small seconds are at 6 o’clock. This is an uncommon complication in Breitling’s more traditional production. The stainless steel case, rectangular and curved, measures 40 × 56 mm and alternates polished and brushed surfaces; the caseback bears the engraved Bentley logo. The crystal is domed sapphire.
The movement
The movement is automatic, with COSC chronometer certification; sources indicate the Breitling calibre 28B (or 16B, depending on the variant).
