Reference 2052-1 is a vintage Chopard watch in 18k white gold, completed by an integrated bracelet in the same metal. Essential in its functions, hours and minutes, it owes its interest to the construction of the case and above all to the movement.
The movement
Calibre 90 is an automatic micro-rotor movement with 30 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat hairspring, micrometric regulation and shock protection: a careful construction, consistent with the fine watchmaking tradition of Chopard, a maison founded in 1860.
The model
In the documented versions the case is of two-piece construction. Several variants of the reference exist: in white gold with an integrated bracelet, like this example; in yellow gold with a leather strap and black dial; or with a bark-finished case, a “brick” bracelet and a champagne dial with Roman numerals. The model is no longer part of Chopard’s collections and is today a collector’s watch.
