A two-register Zenith chronograph in stainless steel, built to be water-resistant: pump pushers, screw-down caseback, three-piece case with a smooth bezel. It is an example that is original in every part, in perfect working order both as a watch and as a chronograph, and not easy to find.
Case and dial
The stainless steel case measures 36 mm in diameter, excluding the crown, and 44 mm lug to lug. The outer caseback bears the serial number; inside it carries the inscriptions «Acier inoxydable», «Zenith» and «Swiss Made». The original crown bears the Zenith logo with the five-pointed star. The dial, original and in excellent condition, is an aged white with graphics printed in black: at 12 o’clock the applied steel Zenith star and the brand name, at 6 o’clock «Swiss Made». The baton indices are applied in polished steel, as are the hands; the central chronograph hand is steel. The pulsometer scale allows the pulse rate to be read.
The movement
The Zenith chronograph calibre 143-6 is duly stamped on the bridge.
