Reference 19.0120.400, known as the “Clipper”, belongs to the family of Zenith El Primero chronographs. The 38 mm steel and gold case houses a multi-register dial, with applied indices and a highly legible layout; the chronograph functions are complemented by a tachymeter scale and the date.
The movement
At the heart of the watch is the Zenith 400 El Primero calibre, a high-frequency automatic chronograph: the balance oscillates at 36,000 vibrations per hour, a rate that allows time to be measured with great finesse. The movement has approximately 30-31 jewels and offers a power reserve of approximately 48-50 hours. Chronograph with central seconds and minute and hour counters, in addition to running seconds.
For the collector
The El Primero 400 is valued by collectors for its precision and for the importance it has had in the history of the automatic chronograph. In this two-tone version, with mineral crystal and leather strap, it appears in a classic guise, with the touch of gold on the case.
