    Category: Brand:

The Aquastar Deepstar was born in the early 1960s as one of the first professional diving chronographs: an instrument designed for divers and explorers of the sea, in which every element of the design answers a real use under water.

    The model

Its distinctive feature is the rotating bezel with the no-decompression table, a patented solution that allows the diver to calculate the times of successive dives directly from the wrist. The dial is clean, dominated by a large minute counter, with indices typical of the instrument watches of the period. On the chronograph versions the pushers can also be operated under water, an uncommon feature. The stated water resistance is 200 metres.

    The reissues

The line has recently been revived in versions faithful to the originals: chronographs between 39 and 40.5 mm, some with column-wheel movements, the smaller three-hand Deepstar II, and limited, numbered editions with special dials, such as Greenwich green.
