Mondia was part of the Zenith-Movado-Mondia group, and for this reason many of its watches use components and movements produced by Zenith. Reference 01.0070.383 is a 1970s automatic in stainless steel, with a 36 mm case and stainless steel bracelet, reflecting the aesthetics of the decade.
The model
The dial shows hours, minutes, seconds and date, with the Mondia logo at 12 o’clock and, typically, baton indices. The crystal is acrylic (plexiglass), as was customary at the time. For models of this kind the movement is commonly a Swiss automatic calibre produced by Zenith, such as the 2572PC.
