The PanoReserve belongs to Glashütte Original’s Pano line, recognisable at first glance by its asymmetric dial: off-centre hours and minutes, small seconds, a large panorama date and a power reserve indicator, arranged in a balance that dispenses with symmetry. It is a contemporary watch, built according to the German watchmaking tradition.
The movement
Calibre 65-01 is mechanical with manual winding, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the finishing typical of the German school: three-quarter plate, blued screws, decorated bridges and balance. For many enthusiasts manual winding, with the daily gesture it requires, is part of the piece’s appeal.
The case
The steel case measures 39 mm, with a thickness of approximately 11 mm and water resistance of 3 atm: an elegant watch, intended for everyday wear rather than for the water. The dial is silvered, the strap crocodile.
