A 1960s Zenith of classic design, built around a dial with Roman numerals. It is the kind of elegant and reliable watch on which the Swiss house built its reputation after the war.
The model
The dial, silvered or grey with a sunburst finish, carries black Roman numerals and shows hours, minutes and seconds. The stainless steel case measures 35 mm, the crystal is acrylic (plexiglass) and the strap leather. Its restrained proportions and sober graphics make it a watch suited to everyday wear, without losing its period character.
The movement
The movement is the Zenith calibre 2542, an in-house movement valued for its reliability. The same family also includes the automatic variant 2542 PC.
