This Lucien Rochat chronograph dates from 1990. The fully polished steel case measures 39 mm and stands out for its distinctively designed lugs; the bezel, pushers and winding crown are in gold. The bezel carries a telemeter scale, while the crown, original and signed, is a push-in type.
The model
The ceramic-white dial has applied indices and gold-coloured hands. The crystal is flat sapphire, free of scratches. The caseback is screwed down and bears all the model’s specifications; strap and buckle are original and signed. Water resistance was guaranteed to 100 metres.
The movement
The watch is powered by a mechanical automatic-winding movement, modular on an ETA 2894 base, with chronograph and quick-set date.
For the collector
Originally the caseback of these watches was fitted with a plastic insert bearing the logo and other information. Examples from the Maison that have lost it are easy to find, so those that retain it are rarer and more sought after. The watch is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition and comes without its original box and papers.
